Paul has taught at iO since 1997.

 

Improv Legends Fillmmakers on Kickstarter

Joel and Mark have been working on this project for some time now and have done interviews with a large number of improvisers, directors, and producers trying to get to the heart of this art form.

They need financial support to put the finishing touches on their film.

Check them out at kickstarter and toss em a buck or two.

1/11 Chicago Improv Comedy Auditions and Show Slots Update

Auditions for original comedy piece at CIC

Auditions: Sat 1/21/12 and Sun 1/22/12 10a – 6p

Tech: March 31- April 4

Show: Opens Thursday, April 5 and runs Thurs, Fri, and Sat through May 12

Must be 23. Come with your headshot, resume, and a 2 minute comedic monologue.

One Group Mind Having Auditions for Training Program

Audition: Fri 1/27/12 6:30p – 10:30p

Cost of $50 per month if cast to team
One Group Mind is following the Gorilla Tango hybrid house team training center model. Again you either think this is a huge ripoff cause you are paying $50 on a monthly basis to perform for audiences that are paying the theater for tickets or you think this is a great deal cause its cheaper than average training ($100 per 8 weeks) with real performance experience built in.
I will wait to judge until I have heard from someone going through it. Are you? Let me know!
